The goal of the Miami Florida Metro Zoo is to encourage an appreciation for the world’s wildlife and to conserve it for future generations.  The zoo encompasses 740 acres with 300 acres developed to include 81 exhibits with over 1300 specimens on site.  Hear the roar of the mighty lion, the busy chatter of the exotic birds, or delight in the antics of monkeys as you stroll along the paths in the African, Asian and Australian exhibits.  Kids love splashing in the playground and water play areas while the adults relax on the sidelines.  The zoo is host to special events throughout the year and offers facilities for private parties and corporate events as well.
